What is your opinion about MDPI? What do you think about the editorial practices they apply to manage their scientific journals?

In my country some mathematicians have a "well developed ego", but physicists are even worse. I wonder if this happens worldwide...

I agree 100%.
Just recently I learnt that Gauss himself would have preferred to call numbers like 2√-1 or -π√-1 "lateral" numbers instead of "imaginary".
In fact, if only one of e or i has to be called "real", I would argue that the latter deserves more the name...

The Magic of the Blackboard
Why scientists can’t quit chalk, even in the digital age.
Why can't scientists, physicists, and mathematicians give up blackboards?
“You don’t imagine something first and then write it down. It’s through the act of writing that ideas make themselves known.”

What is the i really doing in Schrödinger's equation?
¿Qué pinta ahí esa "i"?
