i have not been able to even start on fc intro cg for the past two months because of midterms and finals and i am beginning to realize that if i want to get this video out at all i need to tone down my intro idea lol

my roommate got me into balatro

what i have discovered is that balatro music is perfect for locking in and banging out a 30 page report in one day

the tragedy of realizing the stuff we learned in class is actually really cool and i spent the whole semester hating it until the night before the final

all my roommates that are also in cs are all getting really great internships and even full time offers and they deserve it but i can't help but feel kinda disappointed in myself for not locking in as hard

i wish the conversation around ai was more nuanced because it is quite thought provoking but that's a conversation for another platform and not twitter/bsky lmao

i guess the question is the black box nature of ai (i.e. "ai makes all the decisions for you so it can't make good art") enough to counteract even when human directorial intent is involved?

these "tools" are getting better at capturing that, for better or for worse

only that it's called "render" and not "generate" lol.

Then again I did have to throw it all together in photoshop (and the comp is kinda doodoo) so there are human touches here and there
