Smallish brindle hound lying on her back on the couch, front paws in the air mantis-style, blissed out.
Meanwhile, this one stole one of Silas's Rimadyl pills and had a nice day being on drugs. She too is the best and we love her all to pieces.

Close up photo of the face of a large-noggined dopey mastiff/Pyrenees mix, what a good dog.
We had a scare this week with Silas while he was away at dog camp. He seems to be on the mend thanks to some great vets in Plains PA and here at home. It's the first time @ruinista.bsky.social and I truly thought we could lose him and it was devastating. One of the best, he is.

How does someone with negative charisma and nothing interesting to say get... oh right, never mind! Perhaps he is the Joe Rogan of the "left."

Medium brindle hound and large beige mastiff mix, photographed from behind, standing in a field and looking off at something in the middle distance. They could also be making plans for middle of the night dead drops.
Photos of Silas and Hennie at dog camp really make our hearts swell. They are best buds, even far away from their humans' eyes.

Tour de France Femmes so much more exciting and emotionally engaging than the menβs race yet again, wider field of competition and more βcombativeβ as the French say, another nailbiter final stage. Wonderful to see giant crowds this year. youtu.be/D90TbFap57g?...

A red tomato with many little curves, atop a wooden post, daintily nibbled down by a rogue squirrel.
Squirrels have been plucking tomatoes off their vines in our home garden, but this one takes the cake: a plucked tomato, brought up a 4 ft post and nibbled on in plain sight.
