Ending the Harm campaign poster which says: 'Paramilitary gangs rob local businesses by taking their hard-earned money.'

Our #endingtheharm campaign posters are hard-hitting, but they have been rigorously researched, developed, and tested. They are backed by independent academic research, Programme data and feedback from a wide range of specialist organisations and representatives. 1/2

Our new public awareness campaign shines a light on what is often referred to as 'hidden harms'; the often insidious ways that paramilitary gangs abuse, control and coerce vulnerable people for their own gains.

Image with a quote from the 'Community Worker' film, which says: "This fear, that's always there- it's all some people have ever known. And paramilitaries aren't stupid. They know to look for these vulnerabilities and how to exploit them."

This case study sees a community worker talking about the fear being felt in some communities.

Approx. 70% of young people on our Programme believe paramilitaries are active in their area.

A graphic that says "£500M - £700M. The estimated cost of paramilitarism in Northern Ireland per year."

The cost of paramilitarism in NI is staggering. This includes economic disruption, public spending, health impacts & community control.
