being good and recognized in the scene definitely gives you a good start because people will be inherintly interested. but it's definitely not a requirement and i think more people of varying skill levels should make more content and post their ideas/gameplay

Random quick commentary thought since I’m seeing discussion. I think for splatoon commentary one of THE most important things is to not put yourself in a color or play by play box. Many of us did that years ago and eventually learned with Splatoon that it’s not that simple.
Let this be a lesson to younger Splatoon players to please learn how to read between the lines.
You do not need to form and vocalize your opinion on something the moment you find out about it. Especially if you don’t have all the context.
