The mainland's answer to James. E.D. (or 'Super E.D.' as he calls himself) is a vain BR Class 73 Electro-Diesel. Here he waits one stormy day at Kirk Ronan station with a stolen express service.

This design features text in the shape of Edward The Blue Engine. The text is from the story "Edward's Day Out" from the first Railway Series book, "The Three Railway Engines." Fun fact: Edward is the first engine to appear to star in the book series, alongside Gordon and Henry! This is Edward's first ever appearance and his first adventure on Sodor, all those years ago. And the rest is history!

I'll get out my paint tomorrow, and give you a beautiful new coat of blue with red stripes, then you'll be the smartest engine in the shed. 💙✨

This past weekend has been something rather special indeed. From all of us at the Talyllyn Railway we cannot thank you enough for coming to the Awdry Extravaganza 2025 - so many have travelled so very far to visit our little railway and we are so very grateful.

Update, it was absolutely PEAK

I'm going to watch the new Superman movie tomorrow! I'm not a fan of superhero movies typically but I've heard really good things about it so I'm excited to see it.
