I agree companies should actually put effort into making native ports of their game to Linux. However, there is not yet enough push for big companies to want to maintain a native Linux port for such a small user base in comparison.

I wouldn't necessarily say Bandcamp has a monopoly on the indie artist realm though. A lot of indie artists (at least true within my circle) upload their music for on Bandcamp in addition to publishing with distribution services like DistroKid or CD Baby, to be both stream-able and downloadable

Better yet, buy downloadable music from artists on Bandcamp. You get eternalized high quality music files AND the artist gets paid!
