I just witnessed this a couple times around here and I just find it messed up.

My point is that kindness and support are treated by some as a kind of transaction. Simply enjoying something and being nice is no longer possible; some people expect you to treat them like a deity or so for gracing you with their attention.

Yes truly, I totally get what you mean. People should be free to follow whoever they personally want and not feel forced to do so. Some treat you as if you've insulted their whole bloodline just because you don't, whereas you still interact with their work, but well

Not all of us intend to follow the entirety of the Hellaverse fandom, but rather just friends/acquaintances and artists we look up to, all for personal reasons. Yet staying friendly and supportive towards each other seems not to be possible for too many.

And I'm definitely not sorry to point that out. I simply find it embarassing and rude to approach people with these intentions. Especially when it's bigger accounts.

Can we drop this crazy mentality of "if you don't follow me back I'll unfollow/block you/ignore all your future interactions"? It's incredibly immature and helps no one. But sadly you keep running into this sort of people in this community. This behavior only shows how toxic some of them are.
