This was an interesting & entertaining listen! A text I'd mention is the late William Humble's Talk to Me, shown in the old Play for Today slot in December 1984, directed by Tony Smith. It's a really intense & dryly humorous play with Patrick Barlow influenced by seeing psychoanalyst Alan Howard.
