@iaspm_official #paris2025 you were brilliant. An awful lot of behind the scenes and on the ground work went into making this conference accessible, diverse, welcoming, and intellectually stimulating, and it did not disappoint. Academic rockstars round every corner. 💪

Had a great week at Rockfield studios in Monmouth with the Pro7ect team, writing and recording songs. My wordsmith abilities were put to the test with allegedly (day 1), paradoxical intention (day 2), and purgatory (day 3) 😂.
What a beautiful week in the Scottish highlands writing songs with amazing people. Thank you all for sharing your time and space, and for the wonderful music making I’ve been privileged to witness and be part of.
Man, this is a pretty fucking gross move from Amazon, huh? Good on @bookshop.org for not mincing words, though:
ALCS day always a happy surprise. Keep reading, folks 😊
So much so that my copy is always on loan to someone I’ve recommended it to. I was never fortunate enough to meet Jonathan in person, but he was always gracious and generous when I reached out over the ether. RIP. Condolences and sympathy to those close to him. 2/2
So very sad to hear this news. MP3: the Meaning of a Format, and The Audible Past have been hugely important texts to my lecturing over the years. Diminished Faculties has been a touchstone to me as a scholar and personally over the last few years. 1/2

We are hiring at St John's! We have an opening for an Early Career Librarian post, 3 year fixed term, salary £27,786, and as part of the role the College will pay the successful candidate's fees and give them day release to undertake a Masters' degree in Librarianship. www.joh.cam.ac.uk/vacancies
I have had lots of feedback already saying how the session helped demystify academic publishing. This was my goal so I’m thrilled 😊
We had an absolutely brilliant @royalmusical.bsky.social Pathways to Publication event yesterday, held at UoBristol’s Victoria Rooms. Thanks so much to the speakers who gave freely of their time and insights, and all IRL and virtual participants who were so attentive and had some great questions.

Please consider signing in support of our friends and colleagues in the School of Music at Cardiff University. Music and the arts make everything better. This is so shortsighted.
