If you're free at all this week, Leander desperately needs volunteers for food and water distribution, and cleanup.
They need chainsaws, ATVs, wood chippers, any equipment for moving debris. And people who know how to use them.

Canada has a VERY TEMPORARY legal situation allowing anyone with provable CA ancestry to claim Canadian citizenship w/ no generational limit. It may be overruled, but it’s real now. Colin and I both have French Québécois ancestors so you bet yer ass that I’m doing a LOT of rush document requests now

A few tips for NEH grantees:
1) if you've spent money on an awarded grant but have not yet drawn down the funds, make sure to submit the paperwork to drawn down funds ASAP.
2) the NYTimes article suggests that "DOGE" might cancel awards. If you receive an email from DOGE cancelling your NEH award,

Women played an important role in policing 13th-century England. Women couldn't be in frankpledge or sit on juries, but they were still required to raise the hue & cry, they chased criminals when need be, and were required to attend trials when they witnessed crime or discovered bodies. 🧵1/5
