What Does the Barcelona Declaration on Open Research Information Mean for Research Libraries? The declaration calls upon organizations performing, funding, and evaluating research to take action to help make openness of research information the norm. Three of its drafters explain how.

"We are asking for open metadata for all publications, even if they are not open access themselves."

πŸ“š Let's be honestβ€”the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) is far from perfect.

It's overly reliant on citations, and doesn't always reflect the true value of a journal's contributions.

So, how can journal editors go beyond the JIF to better assess and communicate their publication's impact? Quick 🧡
