for this game, there are 4 endings and one of my goals was to make all endings equally narratively interesting depending on the kind of story you'd like to see. essentially the game asks you of various characters: do you want to fix them, or do you want to make them worse?

i have no clue yet how long the endings will end up being, but the character dynamics will differ pretty significantly between them so i imagine not too short

wrote 800 words on the script for Our Light Affliction today! we're at roughly 19k words and we're not too far removed from the final choice scene where your ending is locked in

today i worked on the UI for Our Light Affliction! i spent some time ideating in my sketchbook a few weeks ago and i think it paid off in how quickly this came together

so my laptop died right after finishing my spooktober duties, and it turns out i didn't have my CSP settings backed up so i've had to reverse engineer my custom brush i use for all my lineart... i think it's kind of close???

Living in Japan the past year has given me much less time to focus on game development. I still feel ambivalent about the fact I'm moving back to the Netherlands, but I hope I'll be able to release another game in 2025 at least!
