Listening to the Lyndal Roper episode on @draftingthepast.bsky.social I am cheered to learn she organised her research on the Peasants' War by drawing a grid on a really big bit of paper which she stuck to her wall. Also that she got to know some of the terrain she was writing about by cycling it.
