I wanna walk with you everywhere. Walking by day, doing a whole bunch of everything else by night or otherwise. Also Fleetwood Walking Guy over on Twitter.
Watching you right now on Too Close for Comfort........ Muriel just announced she's pregnant again.
14.02.2026 23:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0One of my longer walks in recent memory.
Today's walk started at Strathcona Park in Sandy Hill, and covered many east end neighborhoods including Lowertown, New Edinburgh, Manor Park, St Laurent Boulevard and Vanier.
For anyone wondering, this walk took about 2.5 hours.
Today's walk started at the Emerald Plaza on Merivale Road, then went around the area, across Baseline, around Erindale and Navaho, then through College Square and Algonquin College before heading back to Merivale.
06.02.2026 23:27 โ ๐ 3 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0It's been awhile. But it's just been that kind of winter.
Today's walk started at Les Promenades Mall in Gatineau and just me going around some of the nearby neighborhoods.
Not one of the long walks I'm used to but I'll do that when it warms up a bit.
This was today's walk, or pretty much my day.
Started and ended at home, had lunch, visited the tunnels of Carleton University*, before heading home.
*The map does not reflect the various corridors and stairwells that I passed through on campus.
Merry Christmas from midnight mass.
25.12.2025 06:03 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Merry Christmas all.
Donโt forget, amidst the hustle and bustle of Christmas, to take some timeout and watch some classic Christmas television.
Hereโs a great selection of classic Christmas television made between 1965 and 2001, courtesy of the good folks at Antenna TV.
Not so much a walk but this was pretty much my day. And I didn't take any photos.
Left home, there were stops to use the facilities, stops to eat including the new McDonald's on Main Street, and I also went to Ottawa U and Rideau Centre before walking home up Bank Street.
Iโm sorry I canโt post them here. Itโs too much work to post here and on the birdie app.
19.12.2025 02:37 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Tonight was my annual walk to check out the Christmas decorated houses along Taffy Lane in Orleans, starting on St Joseph Boulevard near Place d'Orleans.
The bad news, the cold and phone battery made a bad combo and I had to do most of the posting when I got home.
Today's walk started downtown at the National Arts Centre and went on a tour of much of Centretown.
Between the early excess snow and cold lately, I haven't the motivation much to go out and do my walks. Glad I was able to get out today for a bit.
Donโt open the door for strangers. #IfYouKnowYouKnow
27.11.2025 16:25 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Saturday late afternoon train ride on part of the new REM Deux-Montagnes LRT train.
I only did the line between Du Ruisseau and Ile Des Soeurs (Nun's Island). I also got off at all the stations shown here, and explored a bit except Montpelier and Canora.
Today's walk went from Casino du Lac Leamy to the Museum of Civilizations in Hull, to check out the Retro Canadian music exhibit.
I spent the afternoon at the museum, parking is stupid expensive so I parked free at the casino and walked there. And back a different way after..
First walk in the early snow.
Today's walk started off Bank Street near Catherine Street, went up Bank Street to Sparks Street, past the War Memorial, then through the Market, down Murray Street to Lowertown and then over to Ottawa U before making my way back to Centretown.
Yeah. I post over on the birdie app.
As much as Iโd love to post here as well in real time, itโs a lot of work and time consuming.
Today's walk was a long overdue walk of the Merivale/Meadowlands area, starting at Emerald Plaza and visiting Merivale Mall.
A long time favorite area of mine to walk in.
Apologies if the map looks different than usual, I'm still getting used to Windows 11 and Paint.
This evening's pre-Halloween walk started on Bank Street in the Glebe, did a few streets in The Glebe before crossing Bronson and heading towards Booth, Preston and Little Italy, all to see the Halloween decorations, including some impressive Halloween lawns.
28.10.2025 01:54 โ ๐ 6 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Today's walk was in the east end of Gatineau, starting at the Supermarchรฉ Metro on Boulevard Maloney Est and went on a walk of the nearby area, in search of three covered bridges.
Unfortunately, some time was lost when I had to backtrack due to an unexpected fence.
Today's walk... inspired by a bus schedule....
Started in the Glebe, went over to the Pretoria Bridge and then down Lees Avenue, a short detour along Mann and Chapel and then took the full length of King Edward down to Rideau Falls before returning the same way.
The one out in Rockland that closed is going to be a Winners.... so maybe not that one.
15.10.2025 04:23 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Last bike ride of 2025 down in Montreal today.
Started downtown, headed towards Westmount, then down to do a tour of the Ville-Emard and Verdun areas before heading back downtown along the Lachine canal and by way of Vieux-Montreal.
Today's walk started in Hull at Casino du Lac Leamy (during daylight!) with free parking. Then I went up to Les Galรฉries de Hull and Boulevard Saint-Joseph, through the Wrightville neighborhood and along Boulevard Moussette, then through the Parc de la Montagne area a bit.
11.10.2025 01:12 โ ๐ 5 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Third and final walk today. Starting at Convent Glen Mall. A short but sweet off-season walk on Taffy Lane in Orleans, best known for its' over-the-top Christmas lights in December. A walk I do every December.
27.09.2025 00:30 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Started just off Innes Road and the 10th Line and went on a walk around Orleans, mostly the Queenswood Heights and Fallingbrook areas, and around Innes and the 10th Line.
27.09.2025 00:12 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A record three walks today.
First walk of the day started at the west edge of Blackburn Hamlet in Tauvette Park and went around the community, including Innes Road, residential streets and multi use trails through the neighborhood.
BREAKING: Hillary Clinton strongly criticized Donald Trump for trying to pressure Jimmy Kimmel. This is exactly the kind of bold leadership we need today.
