Fleetwood Walking Guy

This evening's pre-Halloween walk started on Bank Street in the Glebe, did a few streets in The Glebe before crossing Bronson and heading towards Booth, Preston and Little Italy, all to see the Halloween decorations, including some impressive Halloween lawns.

Today's walk was in the east end of Gatineau, starting at the Supermarché Metro on Boulevard Maloney Est and went on a walk of the nearby area, in search of three covered bridges.

Unfortunately, some time was lost when I had to backtrack due to an unexpected fence.

Today's walk... inspired by a bus schedule....

Started in the Glebe, went over to the Pretoria Bridge and then down Lees Avenue, a short detour along Mann and Chapel and then took the full length of King Edward down to Rideau Falls before returning the same way.

The one out in Rockland that closed is going to be a Winners.... so maybe not that one.

Last bike ride of 2025 down in Montreal today.

Started downtown, headed towards Westmount, then down to do a tour of the Ville-Emard and Verdun areas before heading back downtown along the Lachine canal and by way of Vieux-Montreal.

Today's walk started in Hull at Casino du Lac Leamy (during daylight!) with free parking. Then I went up to Les Galéries de Hull and Boulevard Saint-Joseph, through the Wrightville neighborhood and along Boulevard Moussette, then through the Parc de la Montagne area a bit.

Third and final walk today. Starting at Convent Glen Mall. A short but sweet off-season walk on Taffy Lane in Orleans, best known for its' over-the-top Christmas lights in December. A walk I do every December.

Started just off Innes Road and the 10th Line and went on a walk around Orleans, mostly the Queenswood Heights and Fallingbrook areas, and around Innes and the 10th Line.

A record three walks today.

First walk of the day started at the west edge of Blackburn Hamlet in Tauvette Park and went around the community, including Innes Road, residential streets and multi use trails through the neighborhood.

BREAKING: Hillary Clinton strongly criticized Donald Trump for trying to pressure Jimmy Kimmel. This is exactly the kind of bold leadership we need today.

If this became a weekly series, it would run longer than The Simpsons.

If they didn’t want people to come back here, they shouldn’t leave comfortable chairs lying around. Or the doors unlocked.

Doors that are left open are also fair game.

If they’re left unlocked, they’re fair game. Regardless of what’s on the door.

The night is young.

Tour de Costco.

This person went to all 13 Costcos in the greater Montreal area by bicycle. 360.29 kms total.

Left home at 4:01 am. Got home at 10:09 Pm. Ate a hot dog at any Costcos that were open.

Another long ass Montreal bike ride.

Started at Parc Jarry, went east towards Villeray and Saint-Michel areas, before reversing west and heading towards Outremont, Université de Montreal, Côte-des-Neiges and Westmount to eventually end downtown at Place Ville-Marie.

La Baie. 🙁 The sign lives on.

Not a McDonald’s. But Restaurant Deli plus. Montreal. Corner of Papineau et Villeray just off the 40.

Can we get some love for these yellow vinyl benches ?

Always love these Thursday night Latin bands at the casino, but singing the Macarena really cheapens the whole experience.

Today's walk was an Annual Waking Guy tradition on Labour Day. A walk around Ottawa U as Frosh week is going on and then around Sandy Hill as university students move in.

Tried to cover as many streets as possible, but obviously can't cover every street....

Easy choice for me. Montreal, I can come back the same night and not pay an arm and a leg for a hotel room.

Saturday afternoon bike ride in Montreal. Started at Parc Laurier in the Plateau, went out to the east end mostly via rue Saint-Zotique Est, almost to Saint-Leonard. Then back downtown to finish at Berri-UQAM.
