Nicely, the “Transit” app reported a pair of 85s correctly, with almost the same arrival times, just that the bus in the lead flipped down to the next minute slightly before the other bus. Guess GPS and cell phone position algorithms are good enough to distinguish between the busses.

Something similar now for the Ottawa Citizen. Though they use the extra papers for classroom teaching. A good idea if you want to have readers in the next generation.

I finally got my #BeOS virtual machine working on my new AMD Zen 5 system.

AMD is missing some Intel secret sauce, so using a hardware VM doesn't work (Guru Meditation errors in VirtualBox, abrupt reboots in KVM). But QEMU's software emulation does! Story in my blog...

Had fun adding the first power-ups to #NthPongWars, a game for the Z80 #NabuPC. Of course, got many more ideas. The challenge is fitting them in 64K of memory, and making overall game-play coherent.

It’s rather expensive, but I find that slathering CeraVe moisturizing cream on the fragmented skin weekly stops the peeling. Let it sink in for several hours (over night or wear crocs barefoot for daytime soaking).

The tiny violin factory has already been described by AI and is ready for imaginary production, though I had to ask.

Unlike all these beautiful images, mine is functional. It’s a picture of me and an e-mail address so a lost phone can be returned. I can also point to it and prove it’s my phone without unlocking it.

Though that may be a disadvantage, depending on the situation.

Back to basics, added collisions to #NthPongWars. There was some trouble with players getting stuck together, but after a few attempts, got the good version shown here.

Similarly the Québec infocentre in Rigaud has closed its manned counter and just has racks of pamphlets, a map, and some video screens. Also the restaurants have closed there too; no more St. Hubert’s chicken.

Yay, made it to 54 unique shows at the #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival this year! That’s a new high count for me, beating 2014’s 53. Whew! Now it’s time for an actual meal, sleep, laundry…

And line 1 is supposedly up and working again. Just in time for me to head to the Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival.

Well, if it’s eastbound then that’s going too fast for the perpetual traffic jam just before Parkdale, where it drops to 3 lanes. Only slightly kidding :-)

I've updated my Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival web site with show durations for DNA, Jack and Diane vs. Technology, Strings Attached, The Pleasant Meadows Public Library …Presents… The FULL Mountie: Erotic Readings by Poet Emerson Lake.

A couple of those shows are 10 minutes shorter than listed!

About the same as yours, walking back after Whisky Flicks Live, grabbing the O-Train which is fortunately running today. Panhandlers still out on Rideau after 11pm.

I've updated my #FFVSO scheduling program with actual 2025 #OttFringe Ottawa Fringe Theatre Festival show run times, for the shows I've seen (now 25 shows!). That means you can schedule more accurately and not unexpectedly have to run between LabO and Nouvelle Scène theatres in 7 minutes.

Oddly, the 10:30pm showing of 10000 Digits of Pi was well attended, more than earlier shows in the same venue. Also lots of fun, with audience participation in finding a power outlet to recharge the laptop keeping track of pi. Turns out no outlets in that room other than on the ceiling!

I didn’t realize that Suzette mapped to Cathy. Surprise ballroom dance instead of murder!
