The long saga of Trinity needs a good furever home has ended. She went with the lovely lady today who was so sweet, has had cats all her life, and wanted an affectionate little lap monster, which she’s getting. I’m sad and relieved at the same time. Two very weird emotions to feel together.

Someone is coming to see Trinity tomorrow. If all goes well she will go to her forever home where she can wander around and be a lap cat. ♥️

It sucks and is kind of scary. Different things have happened over the years but I’ve had only a handful of them this scary.

The most hilarious thing?? This guy’s son (my actual client) rolled his eyes and sighed at his dad during this entire meltdown.

It needs to be said, again, that the people who benefit most from social programs are the same ones who don’t want it available for anyone else. They always ALWAYS fail to remember that hey get our help because other people pay taxes that go to funding the program.

I guess I needed a good cry cause I watched the Golden performance on Fallon & the interview and I am… so happy for them.

I HATED when my Korean mother made Korean foods for my school lunch. It was awkward af. And I’m half so it just confused tf out of everyone. Never white or Korean enough.

On a positive side note, I might have prevented one of my elderly clients from being scammed by the “job offer” nonsense via text message. Which is good.

I’m currently at 19. Usually it’s in the 10-13 range. But I have a lot of cool crochet stuff open I don’t want to forget. Lol

I went to do home visit (hv) 3. The call box at the gate was non-functional so I couldn’t get in via calling the client or the gate code they provided. I sent an email and then parked around the corner where it was safe.

1.5 hours later I get an email “Oh where are you I’ll come let you in”. 😑

I might have truly and honestly believed that if I ever met Jonathan Brandis that he would INSTANTLY and IMMEDIATELY fall in love with me because I was AWESOME (as a 15yo). But not having access to him 24-7 to feed my teenage delusion allowed me to learn the boundary. Not so much these days.

You didn’t have access to the famous folk you adored and loved. Now we’re BOMBARDED with them and can “get access” to them so easily. I can’t imagine being a teen trying to navigate parasocial relationships and becoming adults who had no clear line drawn.

Like you said, they’ve always existed. It’s just different now because the ability to manipulate fans is much easier because it’s easier to create the illusion of an intimate relationship. Separation was the clear delineation in the 90s and 00s.

I think there’s some amount of this that we do as teenagers with celebrities, but it used to just be getting Teen Beat magazine, putting posters on our walls, and writing stupid love stories in our trapper keepers. With social media the line is so faint and translucent that people really don’t (c)

We have a brunch/breakfast spot that does this and people will literally wait 1-2 hours to get to eat there. They are SO popular!

Now I want to go eat there. Lol
