Completely agree, except for Oman. (I am biased cause i lived there). Absolutely beautiful. And the crazy people that manage to go to Yemen, also really stunning. But a lot of the other Gulf travel is just consumerist or much worse, sex travel

Anyway i have seen videos of people painting their furniture in folk patterns themselves which is reasonably doable cause it is folk art after all (not devalueing their skills but trying to give myself some confidence here to do it one day when more energy)
