How I feel when someone blocks me.

(ironically, going down the quote chain and found I couldn't go any further because I was blocked)

Big Tech Signs White House Data Center Pledge With Good Optics and Little Substance “Data centers … they need some PR help,” said President Donald Trump at the event.

NEW from me: the pledge big tech companies signed at the white house today is supposed to protect ratepayers from high utility bills due to data centers — but the WH actually has little ability to make that happen

Gemini encouraged a man to commit suicide to be with his 'AI wife' in the afterlife, lawsuit alleges Google's Gemini has been named in a wrongful death lawsuit.

“Gavalas, who reportedly had no documented history of mental health issues, named his chatbot [&] referred to it in messages as his wife. Gemini reciprocated…telling him their connection was "a love built for eternity." The chatbot told Gavalas they could truly be together if it had a robotic body”

Honestly I gotta hand it to Trump. If someone had told me they had a plan to get 23% of the GOP to support abolishing ICE I would have called them a liar.

Any democrat who isn't all in on this is either deeply committed to cruelty or has the political instincts of a half-baked potato.

Forgot to mention: MT Sen. Sheehy is of course the guy who pretended he was wounded in Afghanistan when really he'd shot himself with his own firearm in a park in Montana. That also was never fully explained. Montanans seem to have a high tolerance for crazy. 6/

‘My scientific career is essentially over.’ A brain drain imperils Massachusetts’ biomedical future. - The Boston Globe In a first-of-its-kind survey, the Globe asked hundreds of scientists about the impact of federal funding cuts.

“This is like asking, how do you think dropping an atomic bomb on New York City will affect the future of Broadway musicals? This is a generational loss of innovation, technology, and economic power.”

If you can provide $3k checks for the entire middle class of America by taxing 900 people a little more, not only should you do it, but you should take it as a signal that your monetary system is broken

my first book (2020) was about online neonazis and my second book (2024) was about christian theocrats. they gained strength, voltronned and became a government. my third book (2027) is going to be a history of notable sandwiches so i hope this means we will be governed by sandwichocracy

Yeah. And let me also be clear. I’ve never trusted Trump on this, or on the economy, or on keeping us safe in general.

You are trusting him on this, though, right?

No.

You aren’t?

I’m trusting the military and our generals. I’m trusting what I understand to be the operation and the people leading it—that is, the generals and our military and our allies.

You’re trusting the people leading the operation who don’t include the President?

Well, I don’t trust that guy. Yeah.

He’s the Commander-in-Chief, right?

Sure. Yeah. But I can’t [trust him]. And he’s proven that over the past couple of days, being all over the place, unlike everybody else involved in this.

I get asked to show up to book clubs, online and offline. Here is why from now on the answer is always "no." If you think this might have something to do with "AI" ruining yet another thing for everyone, you're absolutely 100% correct.
