Does it work well with MacOS? I owned the Instalink 360 but returned it because I always had to re-plug the USB C cable to activate the camera once my mac went into standby mode. Pretty annoying.

I recently built some abstractions around log/slog in Go for the first time and I'm still amazed at how easy it is to extend slog, really cool

Another digital painting sketch done with #krita by me, it's getting better and better. Currently learning a lot about light and the choice of colours :)

Collecting metrics in software without understanding them is a common anti-pattern, change my mind..

Should the daily stand-up die? The daily stand-up was intended to help teammates remove any blockers to commitments. But at many companies, stand-ups have devolved into tedious one-sided status reports.

Loved this article on daily stand-ups! It questions if these rituals are still relevant or just "a parody of productivity" and explores efficient alternatives like asynchronous updates. leaddev.com/process/shou...

Isn't it curious how starting exercises feels harder than doing them? It seems like overcoming inertia is tougher than the workout itself.

Ever wondered why it's called "foo" and "bar" in #coding examples? These terms have roots in military slang, where "foobar" was used to mean something fouled up beyond recognition! Maybe I should start a fun fact friday.. :D

Makefiles are like the junk drawer of coding. They keep things organized but somehow contribute to tech debt like hidden clutter behind a tidy facade.

Some devs often struggle with commenting on #code. Instead of just documenting *what* the code does, it's more useful to explain *why* certain choices were made, providing necessary context for future readers.

Naming variables is like naming a band โ€” whatever you choose, someone will think it's odd, and you'll probably regret it later.

Currently reading *A Philosophy of Software Design* by John Ousterhout. His explanation of tactical programming (short-term solutions) vs. strategic programming (long-term quality) is quite enlightening. Highly recommend!
