An ornate ogre shaped arched stone doorway frames a bright blue painted wooden door in two parts with studded woodwork detail and a nice solid metal probably bespoke ring door handle on the right hand side. Probably a fairly modern feature though I am not sure and happy to be corrected. St Monanβs Church is still a place of worship and a valued community resource, and a local community group have formed to try to buy the church and hall in the great Church of Scotland properties sell-off caused by falling congregations and upkeep costs.
