I’m so sold! That’s what ANE used to feel like. I miss it so much. And with how limited time and money has gotten, I need to chase those kinds of cons.

God I miss that

ANE staff has absolutely been amazing. The only reason this con was still a good experience despite all the downfalls was because of how well they managed it all.

But yeah, I’ve had my eye on FC 👀

ANE staff does an INCREDIBLE job all things considered.

ANE should’ve capped at max 5k for that space. Preferably 4.5k. Over 7k? I’m sorry, but overall, it doesn’t work.

Just my two cents.

I spent so much LESS at the con because I couldn’t even access the dealers I wanted to see.

An attendance cap could balance both the experience for attendees and the ability for dealers to be accessible to everyone to actually spend time at their booths and make purchases.

I miss not having to plan out every minute detail and wait in lines just to squeeze out the drops of what I was hoping to do/see. There’s always the option of a bigger space, but that doesn’t solve all of it. It’s a disservice to attendees and dealers the way that it was.

I miss being able to relax and suit in open space with my friends. I miss not waiting 3+ hours for a single den trip. I miss jumping into a panel spontaneously. I miss actually getting to see the booths in the den instead of being packed in like a sardine and trying to see over people’s shoulders.

We made the best of it. But I look back and deeply miss the charm it had when it was under 3k people. The time is so limited, and more than half my con was spent in a line, only to be turned away at the door because the panels hit capacity.

ANE 2026 was the first con I’ve ever been to in a decade of attending cons where I couldn’t even get IN to the dealers den at all on Saturday. If we weren’t sponsors, Sunday would’ve been a no-go too. I haven’t seen a line that nuts that wasn’t for a Disney ride. It was insane.

ANE 2026 was impossible to get into 80% of what we’d planned to do. You had to get to ANY panel at least an hour ahead. Barely any room to just suit around. It’s a city— you gotta keep moving through the crowd.

Listen. I love how much this fandom has grown. I love the see my favorite cons have so much success.

ANE holds such a special place in my heart. I’ve been coming for years. It’s always been my favorite. This year was fun but if they don’t expand into a bigger venue or cap it, I won’t be back.
