I did the melee/ranged by weapon type: you can use pistols in melee, but if you want to use long arms you need to step back (and risk enemy attack) before doing so. It created enough granularity for my needs. And of course there is Skill "Pointblank" that allows you to use long arms in CQC.

With Heavy Machine Infantry with good ranged weapons it is quite solid tactic since they cannot suffer Down and if the opponent does not have armour negation they can just walk out of melee and let rip with their gun.

Yeah, we obviously are not interested in taking other people's designs, though I personally love sharing the campaigns of indies to promote them. Our legal advice just has to find language assure people we have not interest in taking any of their work.

I believe we fixed every last resin trap more than a year ago, and thank the community who noted us of the ones sculptors missed. As for other people/companies making knights with guns, we cheer them on quite publicly. Hopefully that clears things up. :)
