On a broader note, I would also like to be transparent about the fact that I worked part-time in uni admin and teaching throughout the entirety of my degree. At Oxford this still seems quite rare, but if anyone out there needs reassurance that it can be done, I hope this helps.

I graduated with my DPhil (PhD) from Balliol College, Oxford on Saturday! There were a number of helping hands extended to me, without which this would not have been financially (or emotionally!) possible. This was hard work, combined with passion and tenacity. My gratitude is infinite.
