Sony has won the home console market, they are the only manufacturer and publisher that are worth a damn and Xbox is seemingly gonna exit it. The console wars are over in the same way phone wars are over. Apple and Samsung dominate the space and they are unmoving titans. That is Nintendo and Sony.

Xbox are the only ones that are directly competing with Sony in the same market segment, a market segment that has been dominated by Sony ever since they entered it. Additionally with console exclusives from Xbox coming to PS now there's no real reason to get an Xbox.

I mean you can really genuinely make the argument that it is over though. Nintendo carved itself a niche with handhelds now and people buy Nintendo for different reasons. Often times you will have a household with a PS5 AND a Switch but not an Xbox.
