LeMaterial: an open source initiative to accelerate materials discovery and research We’re on a journey to advance and democratize artificial intelligence through open source and open science.

Very happy to share LeMaterial (huggingface.co/blog/lemater...) in collaboration with @entalpic.bsky.social and @hf.co working to combine popular quantum chemistry databases like Alexandre, OQMD and MP and deduplicate them. Check out the article below and stay tuned for some more exciting updates!!

👉 A well-benchmark hashing function creating material fingerprints --designed to deduplicate data and evaluate the "novelty" of newly generated materials.

It attempts to answer the question « what is a material », serving as basis for discussion.

2nd contribution:

👉 Comprehensive tools to analyze the chemical space -- including phase diagrams, visualization tools or elemental composition treemap, empowering researchers to analyze and understand materials at scale.
