Los libros de fantasía de Samuel R. Delany son excelentes. Ojalá más personas le dieran una oportunidad. Delany es un escritor fascinante; su versatilidad y curiosidad infinitas son un ejemplo para cualquier persona que desee contar historias.
No me arrepiento ni por un segundo haber escrito todo lo que he escrito en esta última década. Sin embargo, ahora que estoy editando mi primer libro de cuentos y son puras historias de fantasía puedo decir sin temor a equivocarme: he regresado a casa con nuevos ojos y oídos.
Me quisieron robar mi cuenta de Instagram. Estoy sin celular hasta el martes de la próxima semana. Rechazaron varios de mis cuentos. Pero, no sé por qué, estoy feliz. Vi la película de Cuentos de Terramar y me gustó mucho. Estoy a Ken Liu, a Esquilo, Homero y a Yourcenar. La vida es buena.
No soporto a los críticos que dicen que este o aquel autorx trasciende el género.

Update de la novela corta: inició como un trabajo de ciencia ficción, pero entre más avanzo más me está llevando el lenguaje de regreso a la fantasía. Creo que sufrí un poco de (como escribía Le Guin) autocensura; comencé a creer que ese tema no era apropiado abordarlo desde la fantasía.
The first five episodes of House of the Dragon are such a masterpiece I wish they had made that storyline the whole season. But I think it is so perfect because it is limited as it is. Beautiful.
