Oh and when they shapeshift, they blend and mix their colors around to create different hues like a CMYK color printer. This is why some other characters call them Key (Keyplate). But Key is also, just a nickname. This character doesn’t communicate, so whether they have a true name is unknown.
Even though Student is a bit frightening, pretty much every other character has resigned themselves to tolerate their existence. Sometimes people play with them, making them say dumb stuff. Like how kids used to play with Talking Tom. Key, the student, is here to stay.
Those who touch Student fall unconcious, and they have a tendency to enter dreams. This creeps people out, but nothing can be done to make Student leave. Pushing them into a corner or a closet is a pointless endeavor, because Student will push right back—and they are always just as strong as you.
As soon as they arrived, they started following people around and mimicking them, shapeshifting into them and copying everything they say. For this behavior, they earned the nickname “Student.” Why Student is mimicking is unknown.
That being said, I can tell you some things. This fellow is a from giant black void (The Nothing). They very badly wish to enter reality and have been knocking on a dimensional door for a few hundred years. A hapless youngster recently decided to answer the door, letting Key into the world.
Oh sure! They are from my webcomic Broccoli Soup. I wanna describe them, but tbh my audience doesn’t know a whole lot about them either and I’d feel kinda like a dingus for revealing this guy’s whole deal in a twitter comment.
The firefighters union also came out to show their support for the movement. I sure hope that Utah bill trying to remove their right to collectivly bargaining gets thrown into a big fire!
Me and many friends went. I brought my little sign about national parks and the USDA, but there has been so much happening there are too many grievances to count. I would encourage anyone who is upset to put that energy into protesting. (Also recommend bring water bottles for tired protestors)
