Facebook just told over a billion accounts that they have 30 days to download any copies of any Facebook live videos they have or they will be deleted on May 23rd.

Is it weird that I'm entirely put off by the thought simply because I actually know you and perceive that sort of thing as inappropriate?

As older hardware dies off (and as cheaters get permbanned), the number of usable Xbox/PS2 IDs drops with no replishment avenue.

At some point, Insignia et al are going to have to figure out some way to accomodate emulation-only users or the services will just die off.

I recently got the wild hair to go look into the state of online services emulation for older consoles and handhelds. It's a pretty mixed bag.. the fear of abetting piracy (and likely anti-cheat considerations too) makes for major long-term concerns about sustainability.

I guess, but I'd still kill for a remaster or full remake of Einhander after all these years; there are still some things that would be worth it.

I'm a healthcare lawyer who is alive because of Medicaid. I just came from Hill meetings about Medicaid. I'm very plugged into "the groups" — if you're covered by Medicaid, do not cancel anything medical because of the OMB mess.

As someone who's had a full tonsilectomy when I was younger due to them getting infected yearly.. yeaaaaaaah, that's a pain not to be underestimated. Hopefully those antibiotics will get the job done quickly.

Had a CT scan done last week. I'm waiting on the results, with a high probability of upcoming surgery.. that is, if my medical assistance doesn't get cut from this funding freeze fight.

As noted, I got Sniff to the vet on Friday. The wound appears to have a tumor; I've authorized a biopsy but that brought the total cost up to $1000 from $700. That $700 included antibiotics, ear cleaning, sedation, updated vaccines, and 13 days of Gabapentin doses.

I can say the same for Windows at this point; it's a "pick your poison" thing.. and a lot of the time, Linux comes out equal or better for a lot of use cases.. especially when trying to get some older Steam games running.
