In my retail store we have 3 non working days for most employees. We used to work on Thanksgiving but now just a few employees go in to do online orders to try and get ahead before Black Friday.

Hmmm that’s weird since we just raised prices at my store and we decided to wait to redo our back deck after the materials were quoted at twice what they were last year. Wonder what caused these things if not tariffs.
The retail store I work at has raised over 26,000 prices some by double digits. They’ve also reverted clearance items to full price, reduced promotions and coupons and are packing away this years seasonal items for next year. Hours were always tight waiting for them to cut those back next.

I work in retail. It’s been increased prices, taking things off clearance, pulling back and cancelling sales and coupons, holding onto seasonal merchandise for next year. They will protect their margins with everything they’ve got.

I agree with the last part but women have been accused of being aggressive no matter how we stand up for ourselves. We shouldn’t have to demand respect in the first place let alone worry about how our demeanor will be perceived.
