Absolute superman is a great book and the best modernization of the man of the people by sigel and shuster since Morrison new 52 action comics run

This is what if siegel and shuster kal debuted in today's world and i love it so much

But what makes it beautiful is that it's a story about an immigrant who despite his losses and the cynical world he lives in he still finds hope and light and manages to inspire people even in darkness

Superman is a character i very much like and always did

Reading absolute superman was a pure joy to me
Seeing a boy taken from the comfort of his parents to the harsh reality and being ripped from the els and the kents was very hard and heart breaking

He is compassionate. His determination to stop crime is exceeded only by his compassion for crime's victims. He can never forget that once he was a small boy weeping over his murdered parents.

The no-killing rule is actually interesting and creates a good conflict and drama in a story

That's why I like batman no-kill rule and alot of the daredevil / spider-man vs punisher stories

Due to the drama and conflict and the hard questions it asks

Smartasses : x-men don't make sense because mutants are hated and feared while other heroes are celebrated

Meanwhile here's how spider-man is treated :

Well either way could work

It should in service of teaching the character he can't save everyone

While heart attack is iconic but car crash gives the tragic angle that he can't be everywhere both can work

New 52 Kent's dying in a car crash works. It still demonstrates he can't save everyone. The heart attack is one approach whereas this take a more "you can't be everywhere" approach

It says something when they’re using Kid Jon for this event.

DC doesn’t want to say it out loud, but they know Teen Jon is washed.
