Another really exciting issue! The cyber-fantasy aesthetics are really cool. It is the penultimate issue and the set up was about what expected, so I’m really excited to see the finale. Shame this series is ending but I’m glad it’s on its own terms.

The tension in this was so good, the ending sequence was especially nail biting. Cassie’s downward spiral is like a car crash you can’t look away from. I wasn’t sure about the Samsara idea at first but I’m totally sold now after some more development.

Northlane knocked it out of the park with the remaster of Node. If they could do it again with Mesmer, the Marcus era will be perfect

One of the most stunning issues, what Theresa is capable of at this point really just looks incredible. Things feel more complicated than ever too, I’m excited by all the different plot threads being pulled right now. Lemire’s on fire with this

This was front-to-back exhilarating. The art is the most intense and exciting it’s ever felt, and all the characters are displayed better than ever. This book was already a 10/10, this single issue puts it at 11. The dual storytelling was just phenomenal.

This one focuses more on the long term story it wants to tell and I am definitely fascinated by it, I was surprised how it picked up immediately after #2 as well. Riddler’s role in this also greatly recontextualizes everything we’ve seen up till now.

Incredible art that harkens back to Jack Kirby’s style, and interesting Reed characterization I quite enjoyed

The Uncanny X-Men (2024) #20-#21 by Gail Simone and drawn by Luciano Vecchio, with colors by Matthew Wilson; main covers by David Marquez depicting Ransom & Wolverine taking a hoard of gang members, and then finding themselves lost at a comic convention

Caught up on Uncanny X-Men and this short lil arc was a real treat. Ransom & Wolverine are a perfect duo for each other and I loved how much depth this added to Valentin. Vecchio also continues to beautifully draw the team and really makes everything feel lively (with Wilson’s tremendous colors btw)
