I don't like where the industry is going
I just wanted to point out there is a difference between gen AI and TTS
The TTS is only used for the player pinging something. cutscenes trailers ect are still normal voice acting
Apex legends does the same thing though to lesser amount

That's not 100% true
They did hire VA to train an ai for the voices, but the acters where told before hand and where on board

They did the same for the finals

This is clocer to a TTS then it is gen ai
I don't like the idea of AI talking over jobs like this but in this specific case its not as bad

Tried out a little "Rent-A-Derg" tonight for three hours. I think it went really well and I was able to relax and get into the flow pretty well with the characters and the situations involved. Managed about nine individual doodles for @bobuxlol.bsky.social and @gindrag.bsky.social... a sample:
