As a long time Discord user since 2017 and a Nitro user since 2018, I find the normalization and pushing of age verification via IDs or algorithmic checks to be absurd at best and downright heinous at worst. With your attempt at this in the EU in the past, your track record isn't particularly outstanding in terms of keeping identities safe from hackers. Frankly, it's a near-impossible job for anyone, let alone an instant chat messenger. I can't even trust my own health insurance company to not have my info leaked against my will. Should this policy truly come to fruition, I will finally be canceling my 8-year long Nitro streak, as I absolutely cannot support such a short-sighted policy change. I am more than willing to find a different service to use to keep in contact with my friends if you choose the make the landscape hostile. I'm not the only one thinking such. This is not how you protect children. This is how you harm everyone. This is how you damage your reputation and bleed money from the gashes these systems will cut into your wallet. Make the right choice. Your userbase is watching.

Yeeeeah there is that too. I try to stick to what's in the story or art. '#bdsm '#bound etc, etc. It's just reading a novels worth of tags that have nothing to do with anything just because they want the views.

Don't get me wrong, i'm all for correct tagging and warnings. It's when you go through and its; '#Iwrote '#Thisbecause '#Ihadadream feck you and feck those tags

It just makes it so hard to find what you were looking at previously.

Two things i really hate about AO3.
1st is the tags, i didn't show up to read a novel written in the tags just because they can.
2nd It's damn near impossible to find what your actually looking for because of those tags cross referencing into other stories/genres because of word vomit.

Frankly i need to get better at tape, these are great reference <3 ^^

Hey guys- I guess I went viral on Reddit and insta today. Weird.
Also- I like drawing and writing. Give me a comics job.

I'm noticing more and more artists on DA "experimenting" with AI tools to animate their art, then they switch entirely to AI slop.

And then they stop posting entirely, citing frustrations with the AI tools not doing what they want.

It's so, so depressing. Just keep creating. Keep being yourself.

It's a mess honestly. The worst ones are the folk that take your art, run it through the ai and then send it to you going "Look this is how it should look!"

I try to avoid blocking people. I find reading all opinions to be beneficial. They either bolster my own or prompt reassessment.
People that post AI content, however, are blocked on sight, as AI does not offer an opinion or view.
AI is white noise that drowns real voices out.
