quick oldschool material test in photoshop in the vein of the goldsrc mod work i was doing in the mid 00s, just photoshop filters & basic round brush used, all mouse work.
250x150px & truecolour (though it looks nearly identical with a 256 colour palette as the HL1 engine would use)

New tutorial up for Patrons 👽
Wanted something approachable for beginners so this is essentially the "how to make a photo look hand-painted with minimal actual hand-painting (in the traditional sense)" technique 🖱️
