I made something else with the glowing thread

My recent fixation is embroidery; I finished this a few days ago. The skeletons glow in the dark! Which is cool as hell, even if the thread is a pain to work with.

Changed up my Home Screen again. God I miss graphic design, even if Im not great at it.

This is comforting in a weird way. It’s not just me

I dream that about my snake all the time. I think it’s my subconscious trying to tell me that I’m forgetting or avoiding something important.

A day later it occurred to me that I might be missing interactions because I didn’t fuckin tag anyone that would want to read it 🤦🏻‍♀️

And I know, readers don’t “owe” writers anything, and I should write for myself, but it’s damn tough sometimes when I put so much time and energy into something and get absolutely nothing in return. 6/6

And asked if there would be more. My initial thought was “why didn’t you say something when you read it??”. Obviously I didn’t say that.

My point is, if you as a reader enjoy something and want more of it, don’t be surprised if you give no indication of that and then there’s nothing else. 5/

It was incredibly discouraging and put me off writing in general for months. I realized last night that sometimes tumblr just won’t show people my stuff sometimes, so I reblogged it and asked if anyone had seen it. By this morning, one person had reblogged it and said that they loved it. 4/

I was nervous about this because I know that /OCs typically don’t do as well as /readers. I decided to see how well the one-off did and see if I would keep my OC based on response. After nearly three months on tumblr, zero notes. Not gonna lie, that hurt, a lot. I was crushed. 3/

I’ll use my own experience as an example here. I have a long fic that started as /reader, but I’m changing it to /OC. I wrote a short one-off set within the timeline of the long fic with the OC and posted it as a kind of soft introduction to the character. 2/

I’m going to be annoying for a minute: if you liked something a creator has made (here I’m referring to fics and art) please please please, at minimum, “like/kudos” it. It’s a single tap that takes less than a second but could mean the difference between more of the work or none at all. 1/

Hey, bitching is good for something, I’m being seen for my work injury on Tuesday. Only three months afterwards but who’s counting? Me. Because it hurts.

I just keep thinking about how he tried to ‘plan 99’ himself when they got to Tantiss in the finale. “It’s what I deserve”. Like oh, so Tech died for him to just give up like that?

I don’t think enough people talk about how Crosshair was practically suicidal in the last season.

Sorry to bitch and moans but It’s very hard not to get frustrated with this shoulder crap. I was hurt in mid April and still nothing had been done for me. I have to wait around, incapacitated and in pain, for someone who barely cares to do their damn job. And there’s nothing I can do about it.

Halfway through writing the next chapter of my long fic, but I’m kind of worried that, because it’s been over a year since the last one, maybe people won’t be as interested. But hey, whether it’s 200 or just 2, I’ll keep going.

Thank you. It’s from a work injury, so it’s taking ages to see a doc for it, but it’s at least manageable for now
