Smart. Now if someone standing in for Halligan (who is found to have been improperly appointed) tries to re-indict Comey they have to explain why the statute of limitations has not run.

Ghislaine Maxwell: as she is doing time already, Congress shd immunize her which would force her to have to testify (she is currently objecting based on the 5th A). She can be prosecuted if she lies or refuses to testify. And it would make it that much more outlandish for Trump to later pardon her.

FWIW, a court reporter's account, submitted *by the govt* on 11/19 in the Comey case--before it switched positions on 11/20—shows that the full grand jury could not possibly have approved the operational 2-count indictment.
The jury was "released" when deliberations ended.

Why can’t this populist leader who beat allegations of an attempted coup with the storming of the Capitol, one who’s seemed to bend the constitution to his will at times since his re-election, why can't he make this story go away? Remember Trump ran against entitlement, and even when he’s threatening to withdraw the license of a TV network because its White House correspondent asks about the case, does the threat still carry now the same weight? How does his base now feel about siding with dictators over slain journalists and about tax breaks for the rich?
