You forget we operate under basic human decency. Those predators do not. They are monsters who get their claws into them before people like us are aware because they depend on it. They depend on our good side. We need to be able to armor the youth to know the warning signs. :(
By then they have already been groomed not to come talk to you is my point. Your heart is in the right place and I wish I could tell you it was still standard operating procedure- but what these files have dropped today show they get in their heads long before that point.

While I applaud you thinking about it this way- this is the same rationale that got the world to this point unfortunately. Either we keep pretending and shielding the future generations as the abuse continues or we have the courage to arm our youth with the hard truths to armor themselves from it :(
I would argue you are preparing this child to be a functional member of society. If they know how bad it can get they know why checks and balances need to be enforced before history repeats itself again. Just checking in and help them through this mentally.
