2016 - Brushton-Swissvale Lodge #1107

Help us continue this much needed mission throughout our community as we have been for the last 133 years!

The lodge made several moves, first was to the Allison Park Fire Hall, on Duncan Avenue, next move was to the Depreciation Lands Museum, along Route 8, and finally to the Parkwood United Presbyterian Church, Mount Royal Blvd, Allison Park.

Hampton Lodge, for a period, held its meetings in Bardoner’s Barn along Route 8 and then in Naylor’s Hall until 1911.The lodge then purchased a building in “Downtown Allison Park” which was located at Route 8 and White Lane. The lodge met weekly until the 1980s when the building was sold.

The Charter was granted by W. Ed March, Grand Master and the lodge was organized with 17 of the original signers and 13 other members who were initiated that night as charter members. John N. Bardoner served as Hampton’s first Noble Grand and J. C. Hodil as Vice Grand.

A few of the residents who belonged to other lodges decided they should have a lodge close to home. A petition to the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania was written and signed by 22 Odd Fellow in the vicinity.

Hampton Lodge #1004, on April 18, 1891, was instituted as an Odd Fellow Lodge serving the area of Allison Park PA.
In early 1891, when our town of Allison Park was known as DeHaven.
