I finished it yesterday. It's alright, I guess. Early game was great, but after I beat the color temple, it kinda went downhill from there.

With how little I play VR nowadays, I can't justify a Valve Index or a first gen HTC Vive.

Valve is focusing all their efforts on SteamOS and the Steam Deck right now that SteamVR is currently not their priority at all right now.

And yeah. Every other VR is Windows only except the Valve Index :/

Which is why Nobara is my daily driver now and W11 is strictly for VR. I don't intend to use W11 outside of that.

I also stopped buying games on my Xbox.

I just can't stand them anymore. They just ruin everything I love and touch. They're also extremely anti preservation and WMR is proof of that

I still stand by that, at least for the Samsung Odyssey+ at $200, the mic and lens clarity is phenomenal. It had literally everything you could want in a VR headset back then for that price. Samsung delivered. Microsoft didn't.

I'll give 'em props for proving that inside out tracking can work just fine and their pricing did get better.

But most models having no headphones, no mic, and heavily relying on SteamVR to carry all the work for nearly $400? When an Oculus CV1 was around that price? Yeah. Absurd.

They couldn't even be bothered to make their hardware inhouse. It was outsourced to people like Samsung, HP, and Acer.

I can't imagine the shit they would've made. Glad Samsung made my Samsung Odyssey+. Insane value for $200 that Microsoft just wants to force be e-waste. 🫠

Probably some kind of coffee table on the floor, but then comes the visibility problem. I refuse to play on a TV cause of input lag and my vision sucks so I need a monitor close by to play. I guess there is always mini desks for chairs, but that only solves half of the problem.

I'm set. I got hella desk space and a big ass mouse pad. But it's gonna be so funny how you technically need two mouse pad spaces worth just to play efficiently lmao
