I'm working on a system to save and load progress in our beekeeper tycoon game. I figured I'd just crawl through every element that needs to be saved on the screen into a JSON object, then load them back. Each object will have a serialize/deserialize method to handle bootstrapping itself. Thoughts?

2+1 rated bullet chess match. MrOnosa (aka, Captain_Onosa) won by checkmate after 76 moves. However, the advantage swapped between the two players numerous times because both players made one blunder after another. MrOnosa was rated 1400 elo after this match.

On one hand, I'm proud to reach a new all time high Bullet elo rating. On the other hand, 30 blunders between us doesn't look great! 🤣

The player can now hold more than one thing at a time! This is the first step towards a simple inventory system. We'll keep the game casual, but being able to only hold a single item was a pain!

During playtesting, players couldn't tell where they may place things. Now, invalid areas are highlighted. The new shader fits with the rest of the art style better than the blue one I was using. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev #godot
