I've been thinking about making a camoflauge print for clothing that is super niche. First it was a northeastern late fall post-rain rust colored carpet of leaves and lichen cover rocks.

I miss this little platypus who chose an easily accessible spot to overwinter last year in green-wood cemetery. I still call that area “Rattle Hill” (nee Battle Hill) in their honor.

Five years ago

Today marks five years since the very first time i set out peanuts-in-the-shell on the windowsill, not expecting any notice for a couple days, instead, having four bluejays a foot from my window in under an hour. 🩵

(The spoon didn’t come til later, post squirrel troubleshooting)

This is a sandstone door at green-wood cemetery.

It is a visible script that tells a double story: the wind and rain that’s worn it away where it‘s stood for +100 yrs. But more so the longer story of how it was formed hundreds of million yrs ago.
