PM Mark Carney has arrived in Tumbler Ridge with other Canadian leaders. Very sad moments outside of the memorial for the 8 victims.

Canadian unity in the face of tragedy, Prime Minister Mark Carney has arrived in Tumbler Ridge along with the leaders of Canada's political parties. The leaders laid flowers at a growing memorial for the 8 victims, and will attend a candlelight vigil later tonight.

Duncan McKay was in gym class Tuesday afternoon when the shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary began. His teacher went to see what happened, then ushered his students into an equipment room. They stayed there for hours, while his teacher kept kids quiet and calm.

Sarah Lampert's 12 year old daughter Ticaria was killed at Tumbler Ridge Secondary during Tuesday's mass shooting.

She says her daughter was loving, kind and held their family together.

In a show of cross-party support, most of BC's MLAs were gathered outside of the BC Legislature and behind Premier David Eby this afternoon. Eby spoke of the unity and compassion pouring in from across the world in the wake of the Tumbler Ridge mass shooting.

We now know the names of the victims:

12yo’s Abel Mwansa, Kylie Smith, Zoey Benoit, Ticaria Lampert, 13yo Ezekiel Schofield & 39yo educator Shannda Aviugana-Durand were killed at the school.

39yo Jennifer Jacobs & 11yo step brother Emmett Jacobs were killed at the shooter's family home.

The suspect killed their mother & young step-brother at the family home. RCMP were called to the home several times in recent years for calls involving suspect for mental health concerns. Suspect was detained under the Mental Health Act before. Weapons were also seized from the home at one point.

From RCMP - 9 victims from Tumbler Ridge shooting . 6 killed at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School - a female teacher, 3 female students & 2 male students. Students aged 13 to 17 years old. At a local residence, one adult woman and a male youth were killed. Suspect ID as 18yo Jesse Vanrootselaar.

2 other people were found dead at a home believed to be connected to the incident. 9 people dead not including the shooter.

6 people have been killed at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School. Two were airlifted to hospital, a third victim died on the way to the hospital. 25 others have been hurt.
