A day later and no major national news org has covered what they're doing in Kansas.

This is the flip side of the hyper focus on trans issues by the right. The national media ignores what's actually being done to trans people.

This erasure is what contributes to the persecution.

Because of the National driver register, since their licenses are suspended, trans folks cannot move to another state and get a new license until they remove the suspension on their existing Kansas license.

They can't even escape this by moving to another state.

One thing people don't think about is that trans folks relocating to safer states are, without fail, relocating to FAR MORE EXPENSIVE states.

My rent here in New Jersey for a 1BR is *$1300* more than it cost to rent a 2 bedroom house in Oklahoma City.

And guess what group has trouble finding work?

There are THOUSANDS of trans folks far less fortunate than I am who are either trapped in hostile states because they can't afford to live anywhere else or forced to BARELY scrape by in expensive safer states, if they can even manage that.

THAT'S why tangible support matters.

The intention of the anti trans project, from “just asking questions” to “fairness in sports” was always this: to make it illegal and impossible to be trans in society.

To create pretexts for our arrest and removal, if we don’t put ourselves under house arrest.

To punish us for being different.
