I think there is a segment of the population that can’t recognize loser shit, and just sees this all as strength. They don’t respect the quiet person who takes action, they just think “if this guy wasn’t awesome, he wouldn’t be bragging so much”

I used to live right next to Columbia Skytrain and my biggest complaint just became that it didn’t run late enough. Night busses in Vancouver suuuuucked whereas commuting on or near the train was amazing. Rarely needed a car for anything.

It is absolutely insane that most of the US doesn’t have same-day voter registration. If you can show up to a polling place, learn that your name was purged from the voting registry, and not be able to fix that in time to vote, you don’t live in a real democracy.

While Montreal has some of the most aggressive drivers in Canada, Vancouver might have the dumbest. At least that is my anecdotal experience living in both cities.

I only recently learned that fewer than half of all states have same-day voter registration. That is ridiculous. My name has mysteriously disappeared from my polling place so many times but it has never mattered because I just register again.

It’s funny (not actually), that attitude is present from fans to the external investor level, with more nuance coming in the closer you get to dev. But also, some people who should know better still act like that, I think, as a performance to investors in order to encourage big risky investments.
