So in theory it could mean cheaper wine for me! ..but instead, the wineries will either stock the barrels or divert to another market

I like JSON, but with the issue around comments it make sense to have a variant. At first I thought that I'll pass, but on a second thought I think I might adopt this.

But how to pronounce that?

When on summer vacation in Italy we were a couple of days in the Liguria region. The bartender asked what the next destination would be "Grosseto, oh no.. ya'll be eaten by mosquitos over there!"
Well, it was very evident that he never visited Sweden. Five minutes were like five days in Grosseto. 🦟

A new pan or a razor sharp kitchen knife would not turn you into a master chef. A Fender P would not turn you into a new Sting or Steve Harris. And so on... but the tool in hands of the professional; the 10x could probably become 𝛑 times more efficient

At first I was looking at the MS-01, but now I'm looking at the MS-A2 (due to the SFP+). Hesitating due to the posts earlier on Reddit regarding heat and boot issues, though.

Ceph Reef - 1 or 2 OSDs per NVMe? - Ceph Ceph is an open source distributed storage system designed to evolve with data.

As I've read it, to not have a blast from the 90's in terms of performance, there should be more than one OSD (storage devices) on each node)* , dedicated link and NVME should be enterprise (have the power loss protection).

*but it may not stand true anymore ceph.io/en/news/blog...

rook seem to be good on spinning plates, and if one wants a higher amount of IOPS then it is till doable with flash disks but they need to be the ones with powercaps due to nature of ceph with synchronized writes. Although, rather high cpu load is certainly on me for bad tuning

My biggest beef with longhorn were when I wanted (I still want) to implement kubevirt and provision a new VM and it seemed to lack abilities to create vm from snapshot, but the feature would arrive in one of those experimental branches (1.6?).

At least with TrueNAS there's the great integration with OpenEBS.. and redundancy may not be THAT important with only one TrueNAS instance anyway (but then, there goes the ability to scale'n'play with deployments on Kubernetes).

Longhorn seem to be the future promise with features and performance, but the fun will always happen in the next version.
OpenEBS seem to be great (and performant) in a non-replicated install.
Rook.. the shiny thing - if you afford the power consumption and the hardware constraints

I've been meaning to have more of my core services running within Kubernetes, but my long standing issue seem to remain in the land of storage

Anyone have recommendations for self-hosted video doorbells that don't suck?

I remember that I had some success to do PBR with Mikrotik against specified IP ranges.

(multiple?) Squid could have a gateway/path set.. but with HTTPS traffic and without forcing certificates to be installed? the other protocols?

I've solved it with "browser sessions" (XPRA), but not so elegant
