"liebster immanuel" (the music not necessarily the words) sounds like expression of the tragedy of human existence.

"ich hatte" was the first cantata I got to know, when I was 15 I found an LP of it in the basement (harnoncourt) . All of those LPs came with the score(!!). I got hooked

Am I the only one who thinks FDR 1932, AOC 2032. Nice parallel. Depressing that it'll take 8 years, but I fear that may be the case.

It doesn't really matter what he thinks. If consumers make his company feel pain and it's clearly for political purposes , he will rethink. Unfortunately, this is unlikely. To begin with most of Amazon's money is made off AWS, and that money stream is unlikely to be affected.

He thinks most of his voters are solidly behind trump. Probably because they call him with their trump approval every minute of every day. Whereas the left just assumes he'll do the right thing.

50+% of voters think shrinking the government is great, and Elon is the guy to do it. So yeah, a solid 15% of them need human stories.

Isn't Russia's already over 10 or 15 years ago? I'm telling myself we are headed to either become Russia, turkey, or (if we're lucky, since bolsonaro was thrown out a couple years ago?) Brazil, but I'm probably ill informed.

At least there was the sweeping de-nazification. That's not gonna happen here. The only "hope" is that the nation crashes and burns so badly that the cult members finally start breaking with the cult.

why I make certain harmonic decisions, and it is necessary to slow things down enough so that that is possible. (And I don't mean "understanding" in a technical sense that you could describe in words, just the feeling of the harmonic movement). So lately I will write out a passage, and then

I don't think this occurs to me if I am listening in my head, or even playing things through at the keyboard, (although I usually start with those processes), these problems just don't register. But as soon as I am confronted with some semblance of what it's like to be a listener, with the

As much as older-school composers (or at least, composers who came up before, say, the 90s) decry the ability to playback from notation programs, I have noticed--I guess I have always noticed this but especially recently--playback has shown me that my harmonic rhythm is usually way too fast.
