This year, I learned that students use chatGPT because they believe it helps them sound more respectable. And I learned that it absolutely does not work. A thread. 🧵

Another computer scientist here; definitely agree with historical context from Judah. Another point: where have all the great end-user-programming and data management tools like hypercard and filemaker gone? why are we forcing non-devs to write _typescript_ ffs?

Even I shouldn't.
