Spend a good chunk of this morning working out some rebase issues with my team.

Didn't think that the first few days of working in a group project was more of a deep dive in Jira. Glad to pick up the extra knowledge and can definitely see the benefits of documenting our work from the beginning.

I cannot begin to explain how much better you learn by doing rather than following... well maybe I can but you trust me on this.

What does your home office look like? Mine is a combo of sewing studio and work station for my webdev work!

Turned out some coconut red curry ramen was what I needed to get me started.

Lunch can pivot a day - after a slump this morning and some great advice from @bob-ts.bsky.social, I got a new app spun up and ready to stretch my knowledge to breath some life into it.

I have really been struggling with motivation to keep learning. Any tips to get through this dip?

Reworked this meme generation application with React19 and styled it with Tailwind v4. I feel like I'm finally getting a handle on things.

I started with a template and eventually coded my own. Now I want to rework it to use react and the github api to auto populate my latest projects.

And definitely don't feel bad if you revamp that portfolio about a dozen times! I know I did at the beginning many many times... and it is now due for one again πŸ˜…

Been working with React19 and Tailwind4 and made this responsive design demo laying to information cards. I learned a lot by making this a design a lot harder than it needed to be by using a data file rather than hard-coding the information.

Giving yourself time to find a role, and company, that matches your own personal interests, ethics, and vibes can definitely play a big part into this. Some people chase dollars, some people chase dreams.

Companies know, especially in tech, that jumping ship usually gets you larger pay raises and promotions compared to staying. The advice I was given as to when you know to start looking else where is this: You either have to be paid enough for your work or still learning.

I totally get this, finding rewarding but nutrient food is so important! There are tonnes of options out there in that category though, just got to look to find them.

I reward myself with food after setting small goals... like after I watch this video I can go get a ✨fancy drink✨

Being stuck at home due to blizzard sure has made this week productive! I'm on track to finish a meme generator app and a front-end design πŸ‘Œ

You know what, I'm going to agree with you on this. camelCase is just wack.

Are you into ethics in Tech? How about DEI? Found this awesome newsletter by Matty May and wanted to share.

Decided to go back and rework this project as React19 and Tailwindv4 are both out! It's been a lot of learning and reading documentation this morning.

Looking into getting a laptop to keep up with my programming over the summer. Any suggestions?

It's everywhere! The worst I've seen is somebody saying how hard it is to be hired as a woman and then proceeds to try and sell their 'course' on how to get hired anyways.
