The next series of Thematic Meetings within our Migration Network are taking place over the next few weeks.

All are welcome as we work with partners to develop solutions to the cross-cutting barriers experienced by migrants settling in the region.

We are grateful to everyone who attended the launch event for our Strategic Partnership work with Save the Children this morning.

Great insights and discussions with partners across the sector to help shape this new research on the experiences of child migrants and their families in the region.

It was great to relaunch our Communities Thematic Group this morning. There were some really thoughtful discussions with a range of attendees from the voluntary sector and partners across the region.

We are delighted to be relaunching our Communities Thematic Group with an online meeting on the 2nd October.

We hope that colleagues will be able to join us to discuss sector wide responses to support social integration, cohesion and the inclusion of migrant voices in developing solutions.

We are delighted to launch a new initiative to establish a Migrant Advisory Group that will help to shape our work, and that of the wider sector in the region.

Members will be fairly renumerated for their involvement, regardless of their status.

In support of safe routes, I have asked the Government to rethink their position on barring citizenship for those who use irregular routes.

Migrant Employment Conference Join us at our first Conference to discuss and develop opportunities for migrants workers in the employment market.

We are delighted to be holding a Migrant Employment Conference along with partners from our Opportunities Thematic Group within our Migration Network.

It will take place on the 17th June in Birmingham to engage with employerst with the aim of developing solutions to support long-term settlement.

We are always keen to welcome new members to our Regional Migration Network.

It provides a forum for those seeking to support migrants and work towards ensuring long-term settlement for those living in the region.

We are delighted to release our report highlighting the barriers to mental health support experienced by asylum seekers in Birmingham.

We will be holding a short webinar to discuss the findings on the 26th March at 12pm.

Our Health Thematic group met this morning for our first meeting of 2025. We discussed ongoing priorities around mental health support, maternity services and how we can continue to advocate for migrant health inclusion.
